The Darya Rose Show

About

The Darya Rose Show was created to help you navigate your life with confidence.

We'll examine all the confounding questions that come up in life, from staying healthy during a pandemic to feeling good about the purchases you make and everything in between. We'll take a 360 degree view of issues big and small that are impacting our lives today, focusing on scientific research, provable facts, and the practical reality of daily life.

Sometimes this will mean several consecutive episodes and guests on a single subject. Sometimes one show may be sufficient to cover a topic well.

The objective will always be to integrate fact-based knowledge with the practical considerations of real life so you can make decisions confidently, solve whatever issues you’re facing today, and feel good about living a life aligned with your values.

Darya Rose, Ph.D., is the author of Foodist: Using Real Food and Real Science to Lose Weight Without Dieting, and creator of the award-winning blog Summer Tomato, one of TIME's 50 Best Websites.

She received her doctorate in neuroscience from UCSF, and has a bachelors degree in Molecular and Cell Biology from UC Berkeley. Darya’s unique, brain-based approach to health and well-being teaches not just what healthy living looks like, but how to actually change your behaviors so you can stop wishing for and actually make meaningful progress toward living your best life.

Darya lives in Portland, Oregon with her husband Kevin Rose, their two daughters, and their adorable labradoodle Toaster (he's so cute Instagram named a filter after him in 2010).
